Lorenzo Satisfied, Spies Frustration
Estoril - Duo Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies, ending with a different race at Estoril. Lorenzo satisfied with finishing in second position while the spies who had retired for the second consecutive time admitted frustration.
Lorenzo had actually led the race at Estoril on Sunday (01/05/2011) evening hrs. Damn him, Lorenzo was unable to inhibit the rate of Dani Pedrosa of Honda, who then came out a winner.
"The second position is good enough, we have the numbers quite a lot of three races, so I think we were in a good position to continue to fight in this championship," the official website of the Lorenzo MotoGP.
With these results still topped the standings Lorenzo MotoGP rider with 65 points, four ahead of Pedrosa in second position.
If Lorenzo looks satisfied with the results of races in MotoGP Portugal, the opposite is perceived Spies. He was having problems with a tool used to inhibit the flow of fuel in the pipe, which means it should have been removed before the race begins.
"When I found a tool that has not been released, I tried to remove himself because it is situated right next to the lever / handle-brake bike,"explained Spies.
The effort was then actually gave birth to another problem because then there are other parts of the bike loose and disperse the concentration of Spies.
"It really ruin my concentration because I was worried about making the other drivers to be out in one corner. Then I crash," Spies regret.
Thus, for two consecutive series Spies failed to cross the finish line, as happened in Jerez. "I'm very disappointed with today. After that occur at Jerez, this is really frustrating because it happened outside my control," he said.
