Sorry I can not answer your question. But I have one question for you see if you can help me.
You said that by AUG 2008 bulletin, your dates are current.. Which date we should refer to? Date from I-140 or date from I-485?

your wife's application should be tied to your PD. If you got it in EB1, then she too should be in EB1. The pearson memo will help. Get an infopass and clarify the issue.

i entered the US on AP in Jan 2010, and at the time of entry, my I94 validity was set for
1 year (viz Jan 2011) - and the AP also noted "AoS" status on it.
(a) Is the validity of my I94 (and thus my legal stay) 1 year, or as i have read elsewhere,
if AoS is pending, then its valid till the AoS case is decided?
(b) If the validity is 1 year, what is the process for extending the I94 validity?

a. Yes, you are on valid AOS status.
b. No need to extend your I-94 as long as your AOS is pending.

In first place this is not a place where you will have individuals answering questions related to Canadian Immigration. You can look at "http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board" and get more info on the same.
To answer your questions, In first place this program comes up with few clauses. Your eligibility to apply for this program is contingent upon the fact that you hold a current H1B and are working on H1B for atleast one year. It is also important to prove your H1B status when you get your permanent residency with Canada. With the over flow of applications, they added another clause in the form of eligibility which will make only "IT Managers" eligible for this category. They were taking applications with all NOC codes but offlate around May 29, the eligibility is dependent on your IT Manager role.

Hi All,
I need to travel urgently to India due to some family issue and my EAD is expiring in Aug 2010. I need to apply for my renewal before I fly out this Sunday since I will have to be in India for 30 days. Can I e file my application from here and send the supporting documentation by Saturday? If so, I want to make sure that if for some reason, I get a biometrics appt., while in India, how can I postpone it? and also there won't be any issues with my EAD renewal app since I will be India and My I 94 will change once I am back.

I think it should be OK!
-> i guess there is a provision to delay your FP if it arrives for any reason, any of your representative here can scan and let u see the contents , there will be a phone to call and postpone.
-> if you are C9 category ( 485 in EB category ) , you donot need i94 number , you need alien number.
