Pedrosa Can Happy End "The Curse"
Dani Pedrosa feel, start from position two to race in Losail Circuit, Qatar, on Sunday (20/03/2011) tonight is a good result. The reason is, this is the first time he starts from the first row in Qatar.
Pedrosa competing with Casey Stoner, Repsol Honda team-mate. After the chase had been a best time, Pedrosa, Stoner eventually have to acknowledge greatness, which is entitled grabbed pole position and leading 0.2 seconds.
Despite failing to become leader of the race later, but Pedrosa was satisfied with the results of these qualifications because he succeeded in ending the "curse" on the circuit. Because, prior to this qualification, the Spanish rider was never better than fifth position at Losail.
"I look forward to being at the forefront because of this for the first time I grabbed it on this track so the result is a big improvement for me," said Pedrosa. "Normally, I usually was in the third row for this track so I am happy with this result."
Honda is very dominant during the preseason tests in Qatar and also training. Although Pedrosa is confident that the bike is very competitive in the series opener this season, but he acknowledged that the important thing is not complacent.
"Note the time was very fast, so this also makes quiet," said Pedrosa. "But, we must focus on dealing with the race tomorrow.
"I'm hoping to bring home a good result for this first series. Motor has worked well so hopefully I can race with the good as well."
