Bruno Senna says he is hopeful that he will remain on the F1 grid for the 2011 and not drop off the radar after a single season.
Senna has endured a difficult debut campaign with the Hispania Racing team, which was capped by the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone where he found himself replaced by the Sakon Yamamoto.
Having returned to the action in Germany, the Brazilian remains confident of staying in his seat for the remainder of the season and is also hopeful of ensuring he stays on the grid for the 2011 – either with the Hispania or elsewhere.
“I hope the chance that I will continue in F1 is 100 per cent,” the Brazilian was quoted by the press in his home country. “But unfortunately, it is impossible to say.
"Before the 2009 season, I seemed to have a good chance to race with the Honda, but of course it ended up not happening. In F1, foresight doesn't work - the only thing that does is a signed contract. There are always talks but nothing official.
"We will have to see. Few teams have guarantees that they will be on the grid. It is not an easy time in the F1. It's not so simple, but HRT are making the plans. The best thing would be if I could simply choose the team, because my goal is to stay for many years, not just now.
"But I do have to work to get the assurances that I'll be in F1 next year, either with this team or with another. It will depend on many things."
